Wheres the snow?
Tomorrow will finally feel like December with highs in the 30s. Sunday may be just a bit warmer with temperatures in a few areas hitting 40 degrees.
We will have a chance of snow this weekend. I don't expect any real accumulations but there is a chance a few areas could see there first flurries.
Temperatures will go back above average Monday with high temperatures well into the 40s. It will get increasinly warm thrpughout the week with highs going from 30s Sunday to possible 70s Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve has the potential to break high temperature records and certainly won't feel Christmasy with showers around.
Last Christmas Eve the temperature managed to get up to 64 degrees at my location and it will be interesting to see if we can break that.
Christmas will be cooler as a "cold front" will be passing through. I put the quotations around the cold front because it'll be more like a less warm front as temperatures will still be well above average. Light rain and showers will stick around but could taper off in the afternoon.
The patest modeling suggests some type of storm threat between December 17th and December 20th. I'm not too convinced about this yet, but it looks like this has the potential to be a decent icing event. I really just don't see a snowstorm with this current pattern, but anything couod happen. I'll have more details on the models and some other ingredients tonorrow as we get some more information.
