Here are my first call snow forecasts for all of the major cities in the forecast area. It is still early and since the models are disagreeing these forecasts could be completely different.

Washington DC and Baltimore- Snow starts Friday night and picks up in intensity in the morning. In the afternoon snow mixes with and possibly changes to rain and sleet. Total snow accumulation of 2-4 inches.

Philadelphia- Snow starts late Friday night and picks up in intensity in the late morning. Could mix or change to rain in the afternoon. Then change back to snow in the evening. Total snow accumulation of 3-6 inches.

New York- Snow starts late Friday night and and becomes heavy around lunch time. In the late afternoon it mixes with sleet and rain and then changes back to snow in the evening and the snow falls for a couple hours. Strong winds are also a possibility, with the slight potential of blizzard conditions. Total snow accumulation of 4-8 inches.

Boston- Snow starts Saturday morning. The snow mixes with rain and sleet in the afternoon. In the evening the rain and sleet changes back to snow and becomes heavy. Blizzard conditions are definitely a possibility in Boston. Total snow accumulations of 6-12 inches.

In NYC and Boston snow totals could either double or shrink in half. These cities are kind of wildcards as the models are disagreeing on snow totals. We will just have to wait and see what happens!
