A severe outbreak in the south? Also, is there any snow in the forecast?
Expect nice weather Saturday through Tuesday.
Tuesday won't be very nice in the south however. Areas hit hard in the December outbreak could get hit again, with damaging winds, hail, and possibly tornadoes.
Wednesday morning could start out a little bit sleety in northwestern portions of the coverage area if the cold air lasts long enough. Except for the possible sleet, it should rain all day Wednesday, with over an inch likely.
I do think that there will be some type of transfer into the Gulf of Maine. However, the storm will be too far away when it transfers to bring us any snow.
Another low pressure system will develop off the coast of Georgia or South Carolina Friday. The storm will quickly move north and could bring us some snow Saturday. Right now its most likely that its a near miss, but I'll be watching for any changes.
February 8th through 14th looks to be very stormy. The period may include one or possibly even two snow events. Obviously, I can't give any details as it is so far out.
