A hurricane in January! Also wheres the snow?
Expect cold morning lows tomorrow and Friday in the 20s but warm high temperatures in the 40s.
On Friday or Saturday a tropical storm may form to the east of the Bahamas. It is unclear whether the storm system will be fully tropical or just a sub-tropical storm. Either way it is very interesting considering it is January!
Saturday will be a nasty day with rain and sleet around. Temperatures will be in the 30s.
Sunday won't be much better with rain heavy at times. Temperatures will be in the 40s and in some areas the low 50s.
Yes, this was the storm that originally looked like a snowstorm for us. Despite the combination of a negative AO, NAO, EPO, WPO and a positive PNA, the storm will track well to the west of us.
So is it ever going to snow?
Yes. The snow will come you just have to be patient. Our next snow threat is a week from now, next Wednesday. It is too early to go into any details as I'm not sure if there will even be a low pressure.
