Tomorrow looks to be even hotter and more humid than today, with heat indices reaching well into the 90s in most areas, with a few areas likely reaching heat indices around 100. Regular air temperatures will be in the 90s in most areas, making this heat wave "official" in most of the coverage area.
We will also have a threat of severe weather tomorrow night. Thunderstorms will begin to move into western parts of New Jersey and Orange County between 6 and 7 PM. Some of these thunderstorms will pack strong winds and possibly some small hail. Tornado risk will be very low tomorrow. The severe threat should end by midnight. However, thunderstorms and showers will still be in the area especially in southern and eastern parts of the coverage area.
Below is the SPC outlook tomorrow. I've heard some people say it's too conservative, but I think its pretty spot on for at least our area.
Tuesday should be a little bit cooler, and then Wednesday will be a gorgeous day.The heat will come back big time Friday, with the hottest temperatures and heat indices we've seen all Summer likely occurring Saturday.
