The quite weather continues. But could a tropical system end that pattern?
Well tomorrow will be yet another gorgeous day. Temperatures Sunday morning will be quite chilly with some areas going into the upper 40s. Here is a look at your five day.
The heat will return for Tuesday but it should be short lasting, because a cold front will swoop through late Wednesday. This will be the first of a series of cold front that could cause September to end with a chill. Just look at the GFS model.
That looks more like November rather than September! Now there are still a lot of question about this potential cool down but right now it does look very possible. There is a lot of spinning cold air in the arctic right now. All we need is trough and the cold air will plunge all the way down to Georgia.
Even with a cool down, it still looks like the rest of the month will be VERY dry. So no improvements on our developing drought.
Invest 91L has formed and it is looking pretty darn good as it moves to the south of the Cape Verde islands. Right now the NHC is giving it a 70% chance of development in the next 48 hours.
Now here is my first cone for 91L.
As you can see I think that 91L will become depression tomorrow and won't strengthen a whole lot until maybe late Monday. My cone is a lot farther south than most of the models are saying right now. The reason that I did that was with Danny and Erika one of the main downfalls was that the tracked straight into the Caribbean Sea. Especially with Erika if she had stayed just a bit farther north I am sure that she would of survived.
I think that if Grace does track to the north of the Islands we may need to watch out but right now that is way too far out to predict.
Here is a look at the hurricane models.
As you can see a few of the models are turning Grace into a hurricane but I think that may be a little too extreme.
My preliminary winter forecast goes out this Sunday! Also be sure to check out my twitter.
